After India, US To Ban TikTok
After India, now the US has decided to take action against the Chinese app TikTok. Amid escalating tensions with China and espionage allegations levelled against it, US President Donald Trump has decided that Chinese video-sharing mobile app TikTok will be banned in the country. The executive order will be issued soon.

On the other hand, software giant Microsoft can buy TikTok’s operations in the US. The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that Microsoft was in talks with the representatives from Microsoft, Bytedance and the White House and that a billion-dollar deal could be reached by Monday.

"As far as TikTok is concerned, we’re banning them from the United States,” Mr. Trump told reporters Friday aboard Air Force One as he returned from Florida. “I have that authority.” He added, “It’s going to be signed tomorrow.”

“We may be doing some other things. There are a couple of options. But a lot of things are happening, so we’ll see what happens. But we are looking at a lot alternatives with respect to TikTok,” Trump said in response to a question.

The 25-member US Congress asked President Donald Trump to take action in this regard and take concrete steps to secure the data of American citizens. He had said that the Communist Party of China is further advanced by the data of TikTok.

At the same time, India has banned 106 Chinese mobile apps in two times. In the past, 59 apps from China have been banned, including TikTok. Later banned apps include mostly cloning apps.
