Air Quality Dips To ‘Severe’ Category In Delhi-NCR
Air quality in Delhi-NCR is becoming increasingly hazardous. Since Friday morning, the air quality index in Delhi-NCR has reached 434. According to SAFAR India, Noida air level was recorded in the ‘severe’ category on Saturday. In Noida, PM10 was recorded at 434 and PM2.5 level was 424, while in Mathura Road and IT Delhi, the PM10 level reached 409 and PM 2.5 at 369 at both the places.

In Pusa, near Delhi's Rajendra Place, PM10 was recorded at 311 and PM 2.5 level at 380. In Noida-Greater Noida, the AQI level stood at 362. PM2.5 level reached 357 on Delhi's Mathura Road. At Delhi IIT, AQI was recorded at 349 while PM 2.5 level was 335 in Delhi Airport area. While in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, the PM10 level reached 322 and the PM2.5 level reached 374.


Baijal held a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Environment Minister Gopal Rai, Chief Secretary Vijay Dev and senior officials of the Delhi Pollution Control Board. Baijal tweeted, "officials were also directed to intensify efforts to prevent and mitigate rising air pollution in Delhi.
