Mamta Banerjee Promises All Possible Help To Kulga
Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam gunned down five non-Kashmiri labourers on Tuesday. All slain labourers belonged to West Bengal’s Murshidabad district. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has promised all possible help to the families of the victims.

Meanwhile, after the killings of the labourers, opposition parties have begun attacking the central government.

Twenty-seven MPs from the European Union are currently on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir. On one hand, the central government claims that the situation is normal in Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, terrorists gunned down five non-Kashmiri labourers in Kulgam on Tuesday night and unmasked the truth behind the government’s claims about the ground reality in Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident took place in Kulgam’s Bahalnagar village, where a group of 15 labourers used to live on rent in a house. On Tuesday evening, terrorists dragged the labourers out of the house and fired indiscriminately at them. While five labourers died on the spot, one labourer is still in critical condition.

All the slain labourers were residents of West Bengal’s Murshidabad. Due to lack of employment opportunities in their district, they had left home about 25 days ago to do apple farming in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha and former chief of West Bengal Congress, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, went to Murshidabad on Wednesday. He met the family members of the labourers and assured all possible help to them.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that when the government abrogated Article 370, it had said that it will provide security to every Indian citizen. However, it has failed to do so.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has expressed her condolences on the killing of the five labourers and assured all possible help to the families of the victims.

After the abrogation of Article 370, terrorists are specifically targeting those people who are outsiders in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last 15 days, terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir have killed six truck drivers, one apple trader and six labourers from outside the state.
