MP: Social Distancing Neglected At Event Attended
The coronavirus contagion in Madhya Pradesh has reached 50 districts but despite this, the lockdown is not being followed stringently in the state.

The latest case is related to Union Minister of Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar. When Tomar reached Sheopur in his Parliamentary constituency Morena recently, a crowd gathered there.

Tomar was staying at the PWD Guest House but a competition of sorts erupted among BJP leaders and workers to touch his feet and hundreds of people gathered there during this time.

It is clearly visible in photographs that scores of people have surrounded Tomar and nobody is observing physical distancing. Tomar himself is asking people to do so but no one is ready to listen to him.

There is now a list of prominent leaders of the ruling BJP who have flouted lockdown guidelines, including physical distancing norms, in the past few days.

Recently, Delhi BJP chief and Member of Parliament (MP) Manoj Tiwari had reached Haryana’s Sonipat to play cricket at a time when the Delhi-Haryana border was sealed. During this outing, neither was he wearing a mask nor did he follow physical distancing norms.

Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh, Tulsi Silawat, a minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet, reached Sanwer to meet party workers recently. Accompanying him at the time were Indore MP Shankar Lalwani and BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola.

At that time too, all the leaders had set aside lockdown guidelines and recklessly violated the rules of physical distancing.
