Punjabi Artistes Throw Weight Behind Farmers, Targ
The heat over the disputed agriculture bills of the central government is being felt most in Punjab and Haryana. Along with the farmers, now Punjabi singers and artists have also come forward against the agricultural bills and are amplifying farmers' voice through songs.

Punjabi singers Korala Mann and Jass Bajwa have composed two songs “Weapon Shoulder” and “Jatta Takda Hoja” which are going viral on social media.

Singer Babbu Mann has announced that in solidarity with farmers, he will take part in ‘Chakka Jam’ on 25 September.

Punjabi singers in their songs called the Government's decision as “arbitrary” and "harmful" for the farmers. Agitated farmers are also playing these songs during protest.

Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal also made a song on social media raising his voice against the bills.

Superstar singer Diljit Dosanjh tweeted: "Farmers can't decide the rate. There is No Minimum Support Price decided. Farmers don't have storage to store the crops so it doesn't matter on how much limit they have. We expect farmers to feed the nation but they can't decide on the rate?"

Veteran singer of Punjab Gurdas Maan sharing his picture, wrote, 'Kisan hai and Hindustan hai, Jai jawan Jai Kisan'.

Singer Ranjit Bawa expressed his displeasure and appealed to BJP MP from Gurdaspur and Bollywood actor Sunny Deol to do something for the farmers. "At least raise the voice for farmers rights", he said.

Generally, the artistes of Hindi cinema assume silence instead of expressing their opinion on political issues, but Punjabi singers and artists have set a good example by opening a front against the central government.
