UP Govt Suspends Former Kanpur SSP Anant Dev In Bi
The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended former Kanpur SP and DIG PACAnant Dev Tiwari after the SIT report came to light in the Bikru case in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.

The present SSP Dinesh P who is posted in Jhansi was also sent a notice.


The SIT made remarks at length on Anant Dev and recommended action against him from the regime.

The SIT in its report has found strong evidence of nexus between the gangster and police personnel. The SIT found that Anant Dev was the SSP for almost two years. During this, the police took a soft stand against the history-sheeter Vikas Dubey and his aides.

In this case, some more officers may be processed soon. In many instances, the police acted to save Vikas Dubey from his action.

The State Home Department has also ordered departmental action against half a dozen sub-inspectors and inspectors including CO, Additional SP, who have been posted in Bikaru for the last 15 years. In the SIT report, 80 officers and employees were found guilty.

The SIT prepared its report in 3,200 pages, of which 700 pages alone is dedicated to the nexus between police and criminals. The investigation report found the allegations against 80 officers and employees to be true. The accused also include 50 policemen and against whom action has been recommended.
