10 Arrested In Gargi College Molestation Case Sent To 14-Day Judicial Custody
Ten men arrested in connection with the alleged molestation of students during a cultural festival at the all-women Gargi College last week have been sent to 14-day judicial custody on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the Delhi Police arrested 10 accused aged between 18-25 in a case registered under IPC sections 452, 354, 509, 34 at Hauz Khas Police Station.
A gang of drunken men purportedly barged inside the campus during the ‘Reverie’ fest on February 6 and manhandled and molested the female students. The incident rocked the capital after over 100 students held a protest rally over sexual assault, prompting the National Commission for Women to take cognisance of the matter.
