The ambit of the attack by the coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh is increasing. The coronavirus infection has reached 19 districts of the state and the first case in the Sagar district has come to light on Friday. 

According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, the number of coronavirus patients in Madhya Pradesh stands at 259 and 16 people have succumbed to the disease.


In the past three days, 56 new cases have come to light in Bhopal, where the total number of patients has reached 75.

Meanwhile, in Indore, this figure has crossed 130. So far, the highest number of deaths in the state have been reported in Indore. 

A doctor has also died from the coronavirus in Indore. The infected doctor was being treated at the Gokuldas Hospital but after his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the Aurobindo Hospital. However, his condition kept worsening and he passed away on Thursday morning.

In view of the rising cases of the coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh, 46 hotspots in 15 districts have been completely sealed off. 

The condition is very sensitive in Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain.

Apart from this, eight hotspots in Jabalpur, six in Gwalior, five in Khargone, five in Barwani, five in Chhindwara, four in Dewas, three in Hoshangabad, two in Vidisha, two in Khandwa, and one hotspot each in Morena, Shivpuri, Betul, Sheopur, Raisen and Dhar has been identified.

Worryingly, while some coronavirus patients in Madhya Pradesh are recovering, the number of new patients is also increasing.

In Indore, 16 coronavirus patients were discharged after recovery. A day earlier, 10 patients had been discharged there.
