620 CRPF Jawans Infected With COVID-19, 33 Active

Paramilitary soldiers are also struggling amid the coronavirus pandemic. 620 cases of COVID-19 infection have surfaced in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). On Monday, 29 CRPF jawans were found infected with the coronavirus.

According to the CRPF, 189 soldiers are still battling the virus while 427 soldiers have recovered and four have died.

Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in ten CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Officials said that none of them has any travel history, so now infected people coming in contact with these jawans are being searched who will be quarantined immediately.

So far, 31 soldiers of CRPF's 90th battalion deployed in Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir have been infected by COVID-19. The testing of around 300 soldiers of this battalion has been done.

In addition to the CRPF, coronavirus infection has also been found in four Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel in the last 24 hours. According to ITBP, so far 195 jawans have recovered from the coronavirus while there are 33 active cases. 21 cases are in Delhi while the remaining 12 soldiers are admitted in different parts of the country.
