After Delhi and Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu Now Busts
Amidst the ongoing rumors on social media, several state governments have made it clear that their state will not have a lockdown again. In fact, many fake screenshots and media reports are claiming on social media that full lockdown will be imposed again in many states of the country. In order to dismiss these misleading news, the state governments have now issued a statement and cleared the air.

In the worst-affected state, Maharashtra, such rumors were selling like hot cakes. But the office of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear that there will not be a lockdown again in the state. The CMO tweeted, saying the lockdown is not being repeated. Uddhav Thackeray has appealed that people stay away from the crowd. He has asked to follow the guidelines issued by the government, make all the necessary precautions.


Delhi too has seen a tremendous boom in the cases of COVID-19 in the past. After this, many rumors on social media about the lockdown again have also intensified regarding the national capital. But Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has dismissed the claims of re-enacting the lockdown.

Chief Minister of the southern state of Tamil Nadu E Palaniswami has also made it clear that there is no plan to re-lockdown the state. He dismissed the fake news circulating on social media.

Actually, these three states have the highest number of cases in the country. In Maharashtra, 97,648 people have been affected by the coronavirus. On the other hand, 38,716 patients have been found in Tamil Nadu and 34,687 in Delhi. Hence, the rumors of lockdown again were flying thick and fast in these states.
