Ahmedabad, Indore & Agra Worst-Affected COVID-19 C
Over 35,000 cases of the coronavirus have come to light across the country and the death toll has crossed 1,100.

Apart from Mumbai and Delhi, there are several large cities like Ahmedabad, Agra and Indore where the coronavirus has wreaked the maximum havoc.

There have been 214 deaths and over 4,000 people have contracted the coronavirus so far in Gujarat, PM Narendra Modi’s home state.

The maximum impact of the coronavirus in the state is being felt in Ahmedabad, where 149 people have died so far; this is about 70% of the total deaths in the state.

In the past 24 hours, among the 313 new cases in the state, 249 are from Ahmedabad alone and the number of patients here has crossed 3,000.

Similarly, the situation seems to be out of control in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. Late on Thursday night, 28 new patients were found in Indore and the total number of patients here has reached 1,513.

Among the total number of deaths in the state, 53% have taken place just in Indore. In Madhya Pradesh, 2,660 people have contracted the coronavirus so far.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, the administration has become extremely nervous. On Friday, 17 new patients were found in Agra and now, the number of coronavirus patients here is 496.

The contagion is spreading very rapidly in Agra. In March, there were just 12 patients here but by April, this number had increased to 479. This means that 467 patients were found in the last 30 days.

In UP, 2,203 coronavirus patients have been found so far and 39 people have succumbed to the illness.
