‘All Terrorists Raised In Madrasas’: MP Minister U
Madhya Pradesh leaders continue to stoke controversy with their remarks ahead of by-polls on 28 seats.

Following Kamal Nath’s ‘item’ remark on Imarti Devi and BJP leader Bisahulal’s ‘derogatory’ remark against Congress candidate’s wife, now MP Cultural Minister Usha Thakur stirred up a row by saying that fundamentalists and terrorists of the country are raised in madrasas.

Addressing media on Tuesday, Minister Usha Thakur said that the govt funding to the madrasas should be stopped. “What culture are they teaching in the madrasa? If you are a citizen of this country, then you see that all fundamentalists and all terrorists are raised in madrasas. They had turned Jammu and Kashmir into a factory of terrorists,” she added.

She further said that as the BJP-led Assam government has stopped giving funds to the madrasas from the state treasury, so this should happen in Madhya Pradesh as well.

Reacting to Thakur’s statement, MP Congress Spokesperson Narendra Saluja demanded that the Election Commission must immediately take note of Usha Thakur's statements. "The BJP is trying to divert the bypoll campaign towards a communal agenda and Thakur's statements are part of this strategy," he said.
