Banking services across the country will be impacted in August due the number of holidays, second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays in the month, in effect remaining closed for almost 15 days.

The first day of August is going to be the holiday of Bakrid and the next day i.e. August 2, is a Sunday. Rakshabandhan is on August 3, i.e. Monday. Apart from festivals, the 8th and 9th of August are a second Saturday and Sunday, respectively. On August 12, Janmashtami will be celebrated and banks will remain closed.


Banks are going to remain closed in the Imphal zone on August 13 due to Patriot Day. On August 15, there is a National Holiday on Independence Day. On August 20, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Srimanta Sankaradeva. On August 21, there will be a holiday for Teej. After this, banks will be closed on August 22 due to Ganesh Chaturthi and on August 29 for Vishwakarma Puja. On the last day of the month, Onam is going to a holiday on August 31.

Customers will be able to use ATMs on all these days.
