BJP, Shiv Sena Announces Alliance For Maharashtra
On Monday, at last, BJP and Shiv Sena announced their alliance for the Maharashtra assembly elections. However, which party will contest how many seats has not been declared yet.

A poll alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena has at last been announced for the Maharashtra assembly elections to be held this month. On Monday, Maharashtra state BJP president Chandrakant Patil and Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai declared the alliance.

Part of this alliance are RPI, RSP and other small parties. But, at present, suspense prevails over which party will contest how many seats. It is being said that seats will be announced on Tuesday or Wednesday and that the announcement will be made in a joint statement by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Meanwhile, Aditya Thackeray, son of Uddhav Thackeray, has declared that he will contest elections from the Worli assembly seat in Mumbai. This will be the first time that anyone from the Thackeray clan will contest any election.

Polling for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra will be held on October 21, and votes will be counted on October 24.
