Centre Withdraws 10,000 Paramilitary Troops From J
The Home Ministry has announced the withdrawal of 10,000 paramilitary personnel from Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect. The decision has been taken after reviewing the security in the Union Territory.

According to the Home Ministry, 20 companies each of the BSF, CISF, and SSB will be recalled in addition to 40 companies of CRPF. All 10,000 jawans will be sent back to their barracks with immediate effect. All 10,000 jawans will be sent back to their barracks with immediate effect.

100 companies of paramilitary forces were deployed in Kashmir Valley last year in August when the Modi Govt announced the abrogation of Article 370. Most of these jawans were deployed in sensitive areas of the valley.

Earlier, the Home Ministry had decided to call back 82 companies of paramilitary forces in December. Including the new order, a total of 182 companies of paramilitary forces have been called back from the valley since then. It is believed that all 100 companies will reach their barracks by the end of this week. The move is being seen as a message to Kashmiris from the Central government
