Over 3,200 people have so far died from the coronavirus in several countries across the world, with China recording 3,042 deaths alone.

In India, the number of patients who have tested positive for the coronavirus has risen to 31. Amid this, people in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj are organising ‘yagya’ and ‘havan’ (Hindu religious rituals) to stave off this disease.

Meanwhile, the havoc caused by the deadly coronavirus continues to spread around the world and people continue to succumb to this disease. More than 80 countries across the world have now been impacted by the coronavirus.

Compared to China, the coronavirus infection is now spreading more rapidly in other countries of the world.

This life-threatening disease has made inroads into India as well and till now, the number of positive cases of the coronavirus here has increased to 31, out of which three patients have been successfully treated. No one has died from this disease in India so far.

Along with the Central government, all state governments are also on alert given the spread of the coronavirus. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan reached Delhi airport on Thursday night and reviewed all the arrangements made to deal with the coronavirus, including thermal screening.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, some people in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj organised ‘yagya’ and ‘havan’ to keep this disease at bay. People are also relying on masks to prevent contracting the coronavirus. Students and teachers in UP’s Shamli are coming to school wearing masks in view of the growing risk from the coronavirus.

In Delhi, all government and private schools till Class V have been closed till March 31 due to the coronavirus. Odisha’s sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has again created sand art related to the coronavirus on Puri beach, in which he has depicted methods to prevent this viral disease.
