Coronavirus Death Toll Rises To 106
The deadly coronavirus continues to wreak havoc in China, with 106 people dying from this disease there so far. Also, 1,300 new cases of the coronavirus have come to light in China. Amid this, appealing to its citizens not to travel abroad, China has pushed forward holidays in all its schools and universities.

Around 4,515 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed across the world, out of which 4,409 cases are in China alone. Cases of the coronavirus have been reported in many countries apart from China and it has now reached more than 10 countries, including India. 


An alert related to the coronavirus has been issued in India, with suspected patients having been found in Kerala, Mumbai, Jaipur, Patna, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and several other cities. All patients have been kept under observation.

Amid this, the coronavirus has been traced in national capital Delhi as well, with three suspected cases of the virus reported at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Tuesday.

The Union Health Ministry has informed that thermal screening is being conducted at seven Indian airports, including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and about 30,000 passengers had been screened till Sunday.

S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, said that the Indian Embassy in Beijing is keeping a close watch on the health of all citizens and it has also issued three helpline numbers.

Meanwhile, Air India has kept a jumbo plane on standby to rescue Indians stuck in China’s Wuhan.

According to the World Health Organisation, among the common symptoms of the coronavirus are fever, cough and difficulty in breathing.
