Coronavirus Hits Indian Cities
The effects of the lethal coronavirus, which originated in China’s Wuhan, can now be seen in many other nations across the world. After claiming the lives of 107 people in China, this deadly virus is now spreading in capital Delhi, Mumbai, and other Indian cities.
Suspected symptoms of the coronavirus have been found in a student - who was studying medicine in China’s Wuhan - in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain.
When he returned home to Ujjain on January 17, he was suffering from cold, cough and fever. He stayed at home for a few days but when the fever did not subside, he went to a doctor. Later, he was admitted to the District Hospital in Ujjain in a jiffy, after which he has been kept under observation. Doctors say that for the time being, the student’s blood samples have been collected and sent to the laboratory at Pune’s National Institute of Virology. Only once the reports come in will it become clear if the patient has contracted the deadly coronavirus or not. In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Medical and Health Officers and civil surgeons of all districts, along with private hospitals, have been asked to remain on alert, and to put under observation anyone with symptoms of the coronavirus.
