COVID-19: At Least 10 States Are Under Complete An
On the one hand, the unlocking process is going on in the country, but on the other, the state governments are announcing complete and partial lockdown in the coming days.

Even after the fourth phase of lockdown is over, states like Punjab, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh have announced restrictions.


Karnataka has announced a week-long lockdown from July 14 in its capital Bengaluru amid the rise in cases in IT hub.

Lockdown has also been announced in Dakshina Kannada district and Yadgir district till 5 am on 23 July.

The situation has also worsened in the state of Kerala, which beat the Coronavirus, where lockdown has been imposed till July 23 in several districts including Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Mallapuram.

Maharashtra government has implemented lockdown from 13 to 23 July in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Apart from this, the lockdown has been extended till 19 July in Thane.

West Bengal has extended the lockdown in all the containment zones of the state till 19 July. Earlier this ban was in force till 14 July.

The lockdown has been announced from 16 to 31 July in the entire Bihar as Coronavirus cases rise. During this period, all the district headquarters, sub-divisions, block headquarters, shopping malls, religious places, public transport would be closed.

A complete lockdown has been done in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh from July 15 to July 21 and in Bhopal's COVID-19 hotspot Ibrahim Ganj.

Besides, MP and Tamil Nadu have decided to impose total lockdown every Sunday till 31 July.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh has imposed weekly lockdown on every Saturday and Sunday till further orders, while in PM Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi, a half-day lockdown has been implemented from Monday to Friday, in which restrictions will be in force daily after four in the evening.

Similarly, in view of deteriorating condition of coronavirus infection within three days of contact tracing and testing in Kashipur in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district, the lockdown has been implemented till 12 midnight on July 17.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced a Janata curfew until August 10, which will run from 8 pm to 6 am. Moreover, a complete lockdown has been announced for this weekend.

In addition to different states of the country, coronavirus infection is increasing in the national capital, yet the lockdown has not been announced in Delhi.
