COVID-19: Biggest Single-Day Spike In India, Cases
Despite all efforts from the Central and State Governments, the coronavirus infection has become uncontrollable.

On Tuesday, record 5,611 cases, the biggest single-day spike so far, and 140 deaths, were registered across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry latest bulletin.

Total cases now stand at 106,750 cases and the death toll at 3,303.

The situation is worst in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Delhi. Over 80,000 cases have been reported combining the four states.

As migrants continue to return to their home states, concerns mount for the state governments due to poor health infrastructure in the rural areas.

If the infections rise in these areas, a large number of deaths may occur.
