COVID-19 Cases On The Rise: State-Wise Data
The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 37,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,200.

According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Friday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 37,336 and there are 26,167 active cases now. 


While 1,218 people have lost their lives so far, 9,950 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 485, where 11,506 cases have come to light and 1,879 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 236 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 735 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 4,721.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 145 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,719 and 524 patients have been discharged. 

In Delhi, there have been 61 deaths. A total of 3,738 cases have been reported here and 1,167 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 62 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,116 people have recovered here, 2,666 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 42 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 2,328 cases have been reported and 654 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 33 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,463 and 403 patients have been discharged.

In West Bengal, 33 people have lost their lives so far. While 139 people have recovered here, a total of 795 people are infected.

In Tamil Nadu, 28 people have died. While 1,312 people have been discharged, 2,526 people are infected.

In Telangana, 26 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,039 people have contracted the virus, 441 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 22 people have died, with 589 active cases and 251 recoveries.

There have been 19 deaths in Punjab. While 90 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 480.

In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people have lost their lives so far. While 247 people have recovered as well, 639 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

There have been four deaths in Kerala and Haryana. While 392 people have recovered in Kerala, 227 have been discharged in Haryana. Total cases stand at 497 in Kerala and 360 in Haryana.

There have been three deaths each in Bihar and Jharkhand. In Bihar, 471 and in Jharkhand 111 people have contracted the coronavirus. 98 patients in Bihar and 20 patients in Jharkhand have recovered as well. 

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
