COVID-19 Entry In Bihar Election: Many BJP Big Guns Test Positive
Former Union ministers Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Shahnawaz Hussain Corona, who are among the star campaigners of BJP for the Bihar elections, have become infected.
Hussain’s COVID illness comes two days after he went to campaign for Bihar Assembly elections in Forbesganj and was joined by Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi in the poll rally. The biggest face of Bihar BJP, Deputy CM Sushil Modi and State Health Minister Mangal Pandey have quarantined themselves after their health worsened. Sources say Sushil Modi is running with a very high fever for the last two days and apart from attending public meetings, he did not attend Ram Vilas Paswan's Shradh ritual. During this time, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey was also with him for a long time and he has caught a cold for the last two days. However, Rajiv Pratap Rudy has not yet made any public comment about his health. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the COVID-19 guidelines are being violated by the leaders of all political parties. Whether CM Nitish Kumar or Leader of Opposition Tejaswi Yadav, both are doing rallies continuously in which thousands of people are gathering, and during this period, physical distancing is being openly torn. In Bihar, voting will be held for the first phase on November 28, the second phase on November 3 and the third and last phase on November 7. In such a situation, due to the absence of the Star Promotions of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the party will not have to bear the brunt of this in the elections.
