With record 6,654 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, India cases have crossed 1.25 lakh and the death toll is at 3,720. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Saturday, there are 69,597 active cases and 51,783 people have recovered.

At 1,517, the highest number of deaths in the country were reported in Maharashtra, where 44,582 cases have come to light and 12,583 people have recovered too. Tamil Nadu has become the second worst-affected state with 14,753 cases, 98 deaths and 7,128 recoveries, followed by Gujarat.


In Gujarat, 802 people have died so far, while 5,880 people have been discharged and the total number of patients is 13,268.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 272 deaths. The total number of patients here is 6,170 and 3,089 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 265 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,221 people have recovered here, 3,332 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 208 deaths. A total of 12,319 cases have been reported here and 5,897 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 153 people have lost their lives so far. While 3,680 people have recovered here, 6,494 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 152 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 5,735 cases have been reported and 3,238 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 55 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,709 and 1,763 patients have been discharged.

In Telangana, 45 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,761 people have contracted the virus, 1,043 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 41 people have died, with 1,743 cases and 597 recoveries have been reported.

There have been 39 deaths in Punjab. While 1,847 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 2,029.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 20 people have lost their lives so far. While 720 people have recovered, 1,489 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 16 deaths, 706 recoveries and 1,067 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 11, recoveries at 629 and cases at 2,177.

Odisha has registered 7 deaths, 436 recoveries and 1,189 cases.

There have been four deaths in Kerala and Assam. Total cases stand at 732 in Kerala and 259 in Assam, while 512 in Kerala and 54 in Assam have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 308 in Jharkhand, 218 in Chandigarh and 168 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 136, 178 and 59 respectively.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
