COVID-19 State-Wise Data: Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu,
With record 5,611 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, India cases have risen to 1,06,750 and the death toll is at 3,300. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Wednesday, there are 61,149 active cases and 42,297 people have recovered.

At 1,325, the highest number of deaths in the country were reported in Maharashtra, where 37,136 cases have come to light and 9,639 people have recovered too. Tamil Nadu has replaced Gujarat as the second worst-affected state with 12,448 cases, 84 deaths and 4,895 recoveries.


In Gujarat, 719 people have died so far, while 5,043 people have been discharged and the total number of patients is 12,140.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 258 deaths. The total number of patients here is 5,465 and 2,630 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 250 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,074 people have recovered here, 2,961 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 168 deaths. A total of 10,554 cases have been reported here and 4,750 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 143 people have lost their lives so far. While 3,337 people have recovered here, 5,845 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 123 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 4,926 cases have been reported and 2,918 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 52 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,532 and 1,621 patients have been discharged.

In Karnataka, 40 people have died, with 1,397 cases and 544 recoveries have been reported.

There have been 38 deaths in Punjab. While 1,642 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 2,002.

In Telangana, 38 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,634 people have contracted the virus, 1,010 people have recovered.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 17 people have lost their lives so far. While 653 people have recovered, 1,317 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 14 deaths, 627 recoveries and 964 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 9, recoveries at 534 and cases at 1,498.

Odisha has registered five deaths, 277 recoveries and 978 cases.

There have been four deaths in Kerala and Assam. Total cases stand at 642 in Kerala and 142 in Assam, while 497 in Kerala and 41 in Assam have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 231 in Jharkhand, 200 in Chandigarh and 92 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 127, 57 and 47 respectively.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
