Delhi Lawyers Call Off Strike
Delhi lawyers called off their strike on Friday in the dispute between lawyers and police personnel related to parking in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court. Lawyers will now attend court on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court said that you cannot clap with just one hand and that it is better for the court to stay silent on this matter. The Supreme Court said that the difficulty is from both sides.
On Friday, lawyers in Delhi ended their strike in the matter of the quarrel between police and lawyers. Lawyers had been on strike for the past five days. Lawyers ended their strike after getting assurances from the Bar Council of India (BCI). The BCI assured them that they will make all possible efforts for the arrest of those police personnel who fired at lawyers. For this, a period of 10 days has been decided. Lawyers said that if their demand is not met in 10 days, they will go on strike again. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has asked the Police Commissioner to conduct a separate inquiry into the attack on a woman DCP during the scuffle between lawyers and police in the Tis Hazari court.
