For the second consecutive day on Tuesday, the air in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) has reached very toxic levels. Pollution has increased so much that on Tuesday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in most areas of Delhi-NCR crossed 500.

In Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area, PM2.5 was 545 and PM10 was 527. In Mathura Road area, PM2.5 was 508 and PM10 was 521. Apart from this, near Delhi airport, PM2.5 was 420 and PM10 was 405. In Lodhi Road area, PM2.5 was 386 and PM10 was 377. In Noida, PM2.5 was 476 and PM10 was 471.

Meanwhile, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), on Wednesday, along with a rise in pollution levels in Delhi-NCR, there is a likelihood of heavy rains.
