Delhi-NCR Air Turns Poisonous, AQI Above 350 In Ma
The air in Delhi-NCR has again reached ‘very poor’ category and the Air Quality Index (AQI) in many areas is above 350 on Friday. With an increase in cold, the air in Delhi-NCR has again become hazardous.

In Delhi’s Lodhi Road area, in the morning, PM 2.5 was 335 and PM 10 was 192. In the Chandni Chowk area, PM 2.5 was 461 and PM 10 was 466. Apart from this, near Delhi airport, PM 2.5 was 354 and PM 10 was 296. In Noida, PM 2.5 was 447 and PM 10 was 435.


Earlier, on Thursday, in the third meeting of the Parliamentary committee called to discuss the menace of growing air pollution in the country, including in Delhi-NCR, officials of the Health Ministry, along with AIIMS officials, said that the increase in pollution is having a deep impact on people’s health. 

They also said that in the past few years, there has been a 43% increase in diseases caused by air pollution, among which illnesses related to respiration have increased the most.

Meanwhile, meteorologists say that weather conditions could get worse due to a change in wind direction from Friday.
