Delhi Poll Dates Announced: Polling On Feb 8, Results On Feb 11
The Election Commission on Monday announced the much-awaited Delhi Assembly poll dates. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said the election would be held in a single-phase on February 8, 2020, while counting of votes will be held on February 11, 2020.
The election will see nearly 1.46 crore voters decide the fortunes of the three main contenders - AAP, BJP and Congress. 90,000 policemen will be deployed to ensure that the polling process is held smoothly. The additional secretary will handle any additional deployment of officials on poll duty, CEC said. Here are the Delhi election dates: Notification of elections: Jan 14. Last day of nominations: Jan 21. Scrutiny of nominations: Jan 22. Last date of withdrawal: Jan 24 Date of polls: Feb 08
