Delhi: RWAs Keep Medical Backup Ready Amid COVID-1
Amid the mounting challenge of the Coronavirus pandemic in the national capital, people have started arranging their own medical backup for their treatment.

In Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area, the G-17 Resident Welfare Association (RWA) has mobilised resources to arrange three oxygen concentrator machines and cylinders in the society.

In many states including Delhi, many patients suffering from COVID-19 died because they could not get oxygen supply in hospitals. Therefore, instead of wandering for hospital beds, in Paschim Vihar area, people with the help of RWA came together to help those in need.

Similar cases have also been reported in Delhi-NCR that ventilators have been arranged in the societies.

At present, the number of infections in Delhi has reached 34,687 while more than 1,000 deaths have occurred. The health structure in Delhi has collapsed with rising coronavirus cases. Patients are wandering for hours for treatment but they are not getting beds in hospitals. It is feared that the situation in Delhi will get worse in the coming days. Due to lack of space in hospitals, the number of deaths can also rise.
