DOC Webinar Series On Global Pandemic: The Way Forward
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatic implications for geopolitics, for global economics and for everyone’s lives. Amid this, the Dialogue of Civilisations (DOC), an independent think tank based in Berlin, has launched new webinar series ‘Global Pandemic: The Way forward’ aimed to foster global dialogue and cooperation during the virus crisis.
With many of us being confined to homes, global dialogue is more necessary than ever at this time as global challenges indeed require international cooperation, not just national responses, the DOC said.
Throughout April, the three webinars will feature speakers from around the world exploring the consequences of the coronavirus crisis and its potential transformational effects longer-term. Each webinar will focus on one of the three spheres that the DOC specialises in: Economics, Geopolitics, and Cultures & Civilizations. Watch Video SCHEDULE

- Jomo Kwame Sundaram is former United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development.
- James K. Galbraith is an economist and professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, former advisor to the Sanders presidential campaign.
- Vladimir Popov is a former senior advisor at the UN dept. for Economic and Social Affairs and current research director at the DOC.
