Doctor Tests Positive For COVID-19 In Delhi State Cancer Institute
After two doctors of the Mohalla Clinic in capital Delhi tested positive for the coronavirus, now another doctor has contracted the virus.
The doctor is posted at the Delhi State Cancer Institute. She had recently visited the home of her brother, who had returned from Britain, and contracted the virus after coming into contact with him.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the hospital has been closed and is being disinfected. Earlier, on Tuesday, a doctor posted at a Mohalla Clinic in the Welcome area had contracted the coronavirus. The doctor’s husband was posted at a Mohalla Clinic in Maujpur and he had already been found to be coronavirus positive. According to the latest data, the number of coronavirus patients in Delhi has reached 120. Among these, while 112 people have been hospitalised, six people have been sent home after treatment. Meanwhile, the headquarters of the Tablighi Jamaat in the Nizamuddin area has been completely vacated. According to the Delhi Police, the Markaz was cleared out at 3.30 a.m. on Wednesday, when around 2,100 people were present. The entire area is being sanitised. The Delhi Police have filed cases against the Markaz management’s Maulana Saad, Mufti Shehzad, M. Saifi, Mohammad Salman, Mohammad Ashraf and Yunus.
