Gujarat: Family With 25 COVID-19 Cases Denied Admission In Hospital
A family of 25 members were forced to spend about six hours on road after they were denied admission inside the Civil hospital, Ahmedabad.
They have tested positive for the novel coronavirus and were later admitted to the hospital after the Gujarat government rushed senior health officials to resolve the matter.
The incident come to light after one of the members recorded her plight and shared it on social media on Sunday. In the viral video, the family members can be seen standing outside the hospital. They said they are COVID-19 patients and had been waiting since 3 pm without food and proper care, seeking admission to the hospital. At 1,743 cases, Gujarat has the third-highest number of cases in the country and 63 deaths. Total number of recovered patients stand at 105.
