The third phase of the nationwide lockdown is about to end but the situation continues to be hazardous. 130 districts of the country are in the Red Zone and metropolises like Delhi and Mumbai have been badly hit by the coronavirus.

Hotspots and containment zones have been demarcated in both cities in large numbers and the movement of people has been stopped here.


In Gujarat, 586 people have died so far but among these, 465 deaths have taken place in Ahmedabad alone.

In Ahmedabad, the contagion has hit 6,910 people, which is 72% of the total number of cases in the state. Currently, 70% area in Ahmedabad remains an active hotspot.

In Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, the total number of patients has reached 2,299. Over here, 98 deaths have taken place so far, which is 42% of the total deaths in the state.

At present, there are 57 active hotspots in Indore, where the movement of people is strictly restricted.

A similar situation prevails in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, where the death toll stands at 27; there have been a total of 88 deaths in the state.

While 789 people have been hit by the coronavirus contagion in Agra, there are 370 active cases and 44 active hotspots here.
