Kerala is the state where Coronavirus infection had first arrived but it was put under control. The situation was so much better when there were only 1000 cases and 16 active cases in Kerala.

But the situation deteriorated further due to the mission to bring back stranded Indians from overseas.

Most Indians returned to the coastal state from abroad, taking infections with them. According to revised figures, Kerala has so far reported 20,895 cases and 68 deaths.
