Ministry Of Culture Issues Guidelines For Conducti

The central government has issued new standard operating procedures i.e. SOP for programs related to culture and entertainment. The Ministry has made valid COVID negative certificate mandatory for artists and other staff. Only those who have the Aarogya Setu app on their mobiles will be allowed to participate in the programs and that too if it’s green.

This will include both the artist and the audience and it will be necessary to wear masks for all those who attend the program. Also, everyone must follow the two yards distance rule during the program and only 50 percent of seats can be booked at a time.

The Ministry of Culture has said no cultural programs will take place in containment zones. It will be the responsibility of the organisers to ensure adherence to the guidelines issued by the government. If the event is being held in an open space, physical distancing will have to be followed. In the event of being held inside a hall, only 50 percent of the capacity will be allowed to attend.

People will get admission in the program only after a thermal examination. It will be mandatory for everyone to apply a face mask, hand wash, or sanitiser. Entry will not be provided to anyone without a mask and there will be a distance of at least 6 feet between the seats. Hand sanitiser should be provided at the entrance and exit of the venue. Spitting will be prohibited at the venue and the temperature of the AC inside the hall should be kept at 24 to 30 degrees celsius.

The guideline issued by the Union Ministry of Culture states that the stage should be sanitised before and after the performance. The goods and items of artists should also be sanitised.

Crew members and artists will be given packed food and it’ll be even better that the artists bring their own food from home. Drinking items cannot be served in the auditorium. Not only this, there should not be crowds in the cafeteria and people sitting there have to follow physical distance and it is also mandatory to have dustbin at the venue.
