No Arrests In JNU Violence, Delhi Police Under Scr
Even six days after the attack by masked assailants on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus on Sunday, Delhi Police have been unable to arrest any culprit.

Till now, Delhi Police have arrested neither the Hindu Raksha Dal’s Pinky Chaudhary, who claimed responsibility for the attack nor any member of his organisation.

Apart from this, police have also not arrested anyone on the basis of videos of attackers going viral on social media, WhatsApp messages and mobile numbers.

Delhi Police is only speaking of an inquiry into this incident till now.

Meanwhile, police have filed an FIR against JNU Students’ Union president Aishe Ghosh and several other people in this case. For the time being, the JNU case is with the Crime Branch.

Speaking on the JNU incident, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury said that masked assailants entered the JNU campus with the help of Delhi Police and attacked students. Yechury held the Central government and the Delhi Police responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, demands for the resignation of JNU Vice-Chancellor (V-C) M Jagadesh Kumar have become louder. On Thursday, JNU students and Teachers’ Union organised a march to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry against the fee hike and demanding the removal of V-C Kumar.

Later, police resorted to heavy baton charge on JNU students, who were adamant about marching to the Rashtrapati Bhawan, and took some students into custody. The police later released the students.

Meanwhile, former HRD Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Murli Manohar Joshi has also demanded the removal of JNU V-C Kumar.
