On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 67,000 and the death toll nears 2,200. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Monday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 67,152 and there are 44,029 active cases now. 

While 2,206 people have lost their lives so far, 20,916 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 832, where 22,171 cases have come to light and 4,199 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 492 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 2,545 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 8,194.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 215 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,614 and 1,676 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 185 people have lost their lives so far. While 417 people have recovered here, 1,939 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 107 people have lost their lives so far. While 2,176 people have recovered here, 3,814 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 74 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,467 cases have been reported and 1,653 patients have recovered.

In Delhi, there have been 73 deaths. A total of 6,923 cases have been reported here and 2,069 patients have recovered.

In Tamil Nadu, 47 people have died. While 1,959 people have been discharged, 7,204 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 45 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,980 and 925 patients have been discharged.

There have been 31 deaths in Punjab. While 166 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,823.

In Karnataka, 31 people have died, with 848 cases and 424 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 30 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,196 people have contracted the virus, 750 people have recovered.

Haryana has reported 10 deaths, 300 recoveries and 703 coronavirus cases.

In Jammu and Kashmir, nine people have lost their lives so far. While 383 people have recovered, 861 people have contracted the illness.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 6, recoveries at 365 and cases at 696.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 512 in Kerala and 489 have been discharged.

In Jharkhand and Odisha, three deaths have been reported in each state. Odisha has 377 cases and 68 recoveries, Jharkhand has 78 recoveries and 157 cases.

There have been two deaths each in Chandigarh, Assam and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 169 in Chandigarh, 63 in Assam, 55 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 24, 34 and 39 respectively.

Besides, Uttarakhand and Meghalaya have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
