On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 70,000 and the death toll nears 2,300. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Tuesday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 70,756 and there are 46,008 active cases now. 

While 2,293 people have lost their lives so far, 22,454 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 868, where 23,401 cases have come to light and 4,786 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 513 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 2,780 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 8,541.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 221 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,785 and 1,747 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 190 people have lost their lives so far. While 499 people have recovered here, 2,063 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 113 people have lost their lives so far. While 2,264 people have recovered here, 3,988 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 80 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,573 cases have been reported and 1,758 patients have recovered.

In Delhi, there have been 73 deaths. A total of 7,233 cases have been reported here and 2,129 patients have recovered.

In Tamil Nadu, 53 people have died. While 2,051 people have been discharged, 8,002 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 45 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,018 and 975 patients have been discharged.

There have been 31 deaths in Punjab. While 168 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,877.

In Karnataka, 31 people have died, with 862 cases and 426 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 30 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,275 people have contracted the virus, 800 people have recovered.

Haryana has reported 11 deaths, 337 recoveries and 730 coronavirus cases.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 10 people have lost their lives so far. While 427 people have recovered, 879 people have contracted the illness.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 6, recoveries at 377 and cases at 747.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 519 in Kerala and 489 have been discharged.

In Jharkhand and Odisha, three deaths have been reported in each state. Odisha has 414 cases and 85 recoveries, Jharkhand has 78 recoveries and 160 cases.

There have been two deaths each in Chandigarh, Assam and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 174 in Chandigarh, 65 in Assam, 59 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 24, 34 and 39 respectively.

Besides, Uttarakhand and Meghalaya have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
