On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 74,000 and the death toll nears 2,400. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Wednesday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 74,281 and there are 47,480 active cases now. 

While 2,415 people have lost their lives so far, 24,427 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 921, where 24,427 cases have come to light and 5,125 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 537 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 3,246 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 8,903.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 225 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,986 and 1,860 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 198 people have lost their lives so far. While 612 people have recovered here, 2,173 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 117 people have lost their lives so far. While 2,378 people have recovered here, 4,126 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 82 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,664 cases have been reported and 1,873 patients have recovered.

In Delhi, there have been 86 deaths. A total of 7,639 cases have been reported here and 2,512 patients have recovered.

In Tamil Nadu, 61 people have died. While 2,134 people have been discharged, 8,718 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 46 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,090 and 1,056 patients have been discharged.

There have been 32 deaths in Punjab. While 171 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,914.

In Karnataka, 31 people have died, with 925 cases and 433 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 32 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,326 people have contracted the virus, 830 people have recovered.

Haryana has reported 11 deaths, 342 recoveries and 780 coronavirus cases.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 10 people have lost their lives so far. While 455 people have recovered, 934 people have contracted the illness.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths are at 6, recoveries at 383 and cases at 831.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 524 in Kerala and 489 have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Odisha, Chandigarh and Jharkhand. Total cases stand at 437 in Odisha, 187 in Chandigarh, 172 in Jharkhand, whereas recoveries stand at 116, 28 and 79 respectively.

In both Assam and Himachal Pradesh, two deaths have been reported, with 65 cases and 39 recoveries.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
