On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 82,000 and the death toll nears 2,600. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Friday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 81,970 and there are 51,401 active cases now. 

While 2,649 people have lost their lives so far, 27,919 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 1,019, where 27,524 cases have come to light and 6,059 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 586 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 3,753 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 9,591.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 237 deaths. The total number of patients here is 4,426 and 2,171 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 215 people have lost their lives so far. While 768 people have recovered here, 2,377 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 125 people have lost their lives so far. While 2,580 people have recovered here, 4,534 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 115 deaths. A total of 8,470 cases have been reported here and 3,045 patients have recovered.

There have been 88 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,902 cases have been reported and 2,072 patients have recovered.

In Tamil Nadu, 66 people have died. While 2,240 people have been discharged, 9,674 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 48 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,205 and 1,192 patients have been discharged.

In Karnataka, 35 people have died, with 987 cases and 460 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 34 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,414 people have contracted the virus, 950 people have recovered.

There have been 32 deaths in Punjab. While 223 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,935.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 11 people have lost their lives so far. While 485 people have recovered, 983 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 11 deaths, 439 recoveries and 818 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 7, recoveries at 411 and cases at 994.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 560 in Kerala and 491 have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Odisha, Chandigarh and Jharkhand. Total cases stand at 611 in Odisha, 197 in Chandigarh, 191 in Jharkhand, whereas recoveries stand at 158, 37 and 87 respectively.

In both Assam and Himachal Pradesh, two deaths have been reported and 39 recoveries. Assam has 87 cases while Himachal has 74 cases.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
