On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 86,000 and the death toll crossed 2,700. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Friday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 85,940 and there are 53,035 active cases now. 

While 2,752 people have lost their lives so far, 30,152 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 1,068, where 29,100 cases have come to light and 6,564 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 606 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 4,035 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 9,931.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 239 deaths. The total number of patients here is 4,595 and 2,283 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 225 people have lost their lives so far. While 829 people have recovered here, 2,461 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 125 people have lost their lives so far. While 2,677 people have recovered here, 4,727 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 123 deaths. A total of 8,895 cases have been reported here and 3,518 patients have recovered.

There have been 95 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 4,057 cases have been reported and 2,165 patients have recovered.

In Tamil Nadu, 71 people have died. While 2,599 people have been discharged, 10,108 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 48 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,307 and 1,252 patients have been discharged.

In Karnataka, 36 people have died, with 1,056 cases and 480 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 34 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,454 people have contracted the virus, 959 people have recovered.

There have been 32 deaths in Punjab. While 305 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,935.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 11 people have lost their lives so far. While 513 people have recovered, 1,013 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 11 deaths, 439 recoveries and 818 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 7, recoveries at 438 and cases at 1,018.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 576 in Kerala and 492 have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Odisha, Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 672 in Odisha, 203 in Jharkhand,191 in Chandigarh and 76 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 166, 87, 37 and 39 respectively.

In Assam, two deaths have been reported, with 90 cases and 41 recoveries.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
