COVID-19 State-Wise Data: TN Emerges As Second Wor
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed 1 lakh and the death toll neared 3,200. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Tuesday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 1,01,139 and there are 58,802 active cases now. 

While 3,163 people have lost their lives so far, 39,173 people have recovered as well.


At 1,249, the highest number of deaths in the country were reported in Maharashtra, where 35,058 cases have come to light and 8,437 people have recovered too. Tamil Nadu has replaced Gujarat as the second worst-affected state with 11,760 cases, 81 deaths and 4,406 recoveries.

In Gujarat, 694 people have died so far, while 4,804 people have been discharged and the total number of patients is 11,745.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 252 deaths. The total number of patients here is 5,263 and 2,435 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 244 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,006 people have recovered here, 2,825 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 168 deaths. A total of 10,054 cases have been reported here and 4,485 patients have recovered.

In Rajasthan, 138 people have lost their lives so far. While 3,218 people have recovered here, 5,507 people have contracted the coronavirus.

There have been 118 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 4,6,05 cases have been reported and 2,783 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 50 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,474 and 1,552 patients have been discharged.

There have been 37 deaths in Punjab. While 1,547 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,980.

In Karnataka, 37 people have died, with 1,246 cases and 530 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 35 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,597 people have contracted the virus, 1,000 people have recovered.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 15 people have lost their lives so far. While 609 people have recovered, 1,289 people have contracted the illness.

Haryana has reported 14 deaths, 598 recoveries and 928 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 9, recoveries at 494 and cases at 1,391.

There have been four deaths in Kerala and Odisha. Total cases stand at 876 in Odisha and 630 in Kerala, while 220 in Odisha and 497 in Kerala have been discharged.

There have been three deaths each in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. Total cases stand at 223 in Jharkhand,196 in Chandigarh and 90 in Himachal Pradesh, whereas recoveries stand at 113, 54 and 44 respectively.

In Assam, two deaths have been reported, with 107 cases and 41 recoveries.

Besides, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Puducherry have reported one death each.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
