On The Rise Coronavirus Cases In India: State-Wise
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached close to 60,000 and the death toll nears 2,000. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Saturday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 59,662 and there are 39,834 active cases now. 

While 1,981 people have lost their lives so far, 17,846 people have recovered as well.


The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 731, where 19,063 cases have come to light and 3,470 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 449 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,872 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 7,402.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 200 deaths. The total number of patients here is 3,341 and 1,349 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 160 people have lost their lives so far. While 364 people have recovered here, 1,678 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 101 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,916 people have recovered here, 3,579 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 68 deaths. A total of 6,318 cases have been reported here and 2,020 patients have recovered.

There have been 66 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 3,214 cases have been reported and 1,387 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 41 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,887 and 842 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 40 people have died. While 1,605 people have been discharged, 6,009 people are infected.

In Karnataka, 30 people have died, with 753 cases and 376 recoveries have been reported.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,133 people have contracted the virus, 700 people have recovered.

There have been 29 deaths in Punjab. While 152 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,731.

In Jammu and Kashmir, nine people have lost their lives so far. While 364 people have recovered, 823 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported eight deaths, 279 recoveries and 647 coronavirus cases.

Bihar COVID-19 deaths is at 5, recoveries at 297 and cases at 571.

There have been four deaths in Kerala. Total cases stand at 503 in Kerala and 484 have been discharged.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 132 cases and 52 recoveries.  

In Himachal Pradesh and Odisha, there have been two deaths in each state. Odisha has 271 cases and 63 recoveries, Himachal has 38 recoveries and 50 cases.

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states and union territories across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
