On The Rise: State-Wise Coronavirus Cases In India

The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 42,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,300.

According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Monday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 42,553 and there are 29,453 active cases now. 

While 1,373 people have lost their lives so far, 11,706 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 548, where 12,974 cases have come to light and 2,115 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 290 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,042 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 5,428.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 156 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,846 and 798 patients have been discharged. 

In Rajasthan, 71 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,356 people have recovered here, 2,886 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 64 deaths. A total of 4,549 cases have been reported here and 1,362 patients have recovered.

There have been 43 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 2,645 cases have been reported and 754 patients have recovered.

In West Bengal, 35 people have lost their lives so far. While 151 people have recovered here, a total of 963 people are infected.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 33 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,583 and 488 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 30 people have died. While 1,379 people have been discharged, 3,023 people are infected.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,082 people have contracted the virus, 490 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 25 people have died, with 614 active cases and 293 recoveries.

There have been 21 deaths in Punjab. While 117 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,102.

In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people have lost their lives so far. While 287 people have recovered as well, 701 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported five deaths, 245 recoveries and 442 coronavirus cases.

There have been four deaths each in Kerala and Bihar. While 401 people have recovered in Kerala, 125 have been discharged in Bihar. Total cases stand at 500 in Kerala and 503 in Bihar.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 115 cases and 22 recoveries.  

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
