On The Rise: State-Wise Coronavirus Cases In India

The number of coronavirus cases has crossed 46,000 and the death toll stands at over 1,500. According to Health Ministry data at 8 am on Tuesday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 46,433 and there are 32,138 active cases now. 

While 1,568 people have lost their lives so far, 12,726 people have recovered as well.

The highest number of deaths in the country has taken place in Maharashtra at 583, where 14,541 cases have come to light and 2,465 people have recovered too.

In Gujarat, 319 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus so far. While 1,195 people have been discharged here, the total number of patients is 5,804.

In Madhya Pradesh, there have been 165 deaths. The total number of patients here is 2,942 and 798 patients have been discharged. 

In West Bengal, 133 people have lost their lives so far. While 218 people have recovered here, 1,259 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Rajasthan, 77 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,394 people have recovered here, 3,061 people have contracted the coronavirus.

In Delhi, there have been 64 deaths. A total of 4,898 cases have been reported here and 1,431 patients have recovered.

There have been 50 deaths in Uttar Pradesh. Over here, 2,766 cases have been reported and 802 patients have recovered.

In Andhra Pradesh, there have been 36 deaths. The total number of patients here is 1,650 and 524 patients have been discharged.

In Tamil Nadu, 31 people have died. While 1,409 people have been discharged, 3,550 people are infected.

In Telangana, 29 people have lost their lives so far. While 1,085 people have contracted the virus, 585 people have recovered.

In Karnataka, 27 people have died, with 651 active cases and 321 recoveries.

There have been 23 deaths in Punjab. While 121 people have recovered here, the total number of patients is 1,233.

In Jammu and Kashmir, eight people have lost their lives so far. While 303 people have recovered as well, 726 people have contracted the coronavirus here.

Haryana has reported six deaths, 254 recoveries and 517 coronavirus cases.

There have been four deaths each in Kerala and Bihar. While 462 people have recovered in Kerala, 130 have been discharged in Bihar. Total cases stand at 500 in Kerala and 528 in Bihar.

In Jharkhand, three deaths have been reported with 115 cases and 27 recoveries.  

Apart from this, there has been one death each in Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

The coronavirus has hit 33 states across the country so far and the number of patients is increasing rapidly.
