Petrol, Diesel Prices See Up To Rs 2.7 Rise In 10 days
After a day of relief, petrol and diesel prices increased to scale fresh highs on September 26. Even as crude oil prices in the international market have been falling this week, barring Wednesday, petrol and diesel prices have been on the rise for over a week now. The price of petrol was up by 6 paise per litre and that of diesel by 7 paise per litre in the national capital. With the rise, petrol is priced at Rs 74.19 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs 67.14 per litre in Delhi.
In Mumbai, the petrol price rose by 6 paise to Rs 79.85 a litre. The rate of diesel was increased by 7 paise to Rs 70.44 per litre.
On Tuesday, the price of petrol was up by 22 paise per litre and that of diesel by 14 paise per litre in the national capital. On Wednesday, fuel prices were not increased in the country. However, there has been a Rs 2.7 jump in petrol prices and Rs 2.3 rise in diesel prices in the past 10 days. Petrol and diesel prices have been rising daily for the last ten days from September 17.
