PMC Bank Customers Confront Nirmala Sitharaman At Mumbai BJP Office
PMC Bank customers staged a protest outside the BJP party office at Nariman Point in Mumbai where Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was addressing a press conference. While she was addressing the press conference, the protestors started raising slogans outside the office who looked furious and angry with the way their money has been handled by the bank and the Government's silence on the matter.
The protesters have requested Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to help them get their money back. Account-holders say that they have no idea what the RBI or the court is doing. The police used force to control the mob and sent the protesters back from the BJP headquarters.
At the same time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the RBI has taken action on the PMC bank scam, in which she cannot do anything. She said that on her behalf, she has asked the secretary of the ministry to hold a meeting with the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Urban Development to inform them about the matter.

FM: I've asked the secretaries of the ministry to study in detail as to what is happening. Representatives of RBI will also be there to understand shortcomings, what happened, & also to therefore, if necessary, look at the ways in which the respective Acts will have to be amended https://t.co/NeCZo4sImo
