Rampant Hate Speech Against Dissenters By BJP Lead
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MPs) and leaders in different parts of the country are engaging in violent, inflammatory and hate-filled rhetoric towards people protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Some of these leaders occupy constitutional positions.

If action is not taken against BJP leaders giving hate speeches in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and other states, then the already poor law and order situation could deteriorate further.

West Bengal BJP president and MP Dilip Ghosh is the latest in the series of BJP leaders who have engaged in hate speech.

In the state’s Nadia district, he said, “Didi’s (Mamata Banerjee) police didn’t take action against the people who destroyed public property as they are her voters. Our governments in Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Karnataka have shot these people like dogs.”

Earlier, BJP leader Raghuraj Singh had given a provocative statement during a rally in support of the CAA in Aligarh. He had said, “Will this handful of people raise slogans of Murdabad against PM Modi and CM Yogi? Yogi and Modi will bury you alive.”

Meanwhile, in Telangana’s Karimnagar, MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar issued warnings of violent action against anti-CAA protesters. He said, “If you throw stones, we will throw bombs. If you use sticks, we will retaliate with knives. If you throw bombs, we will use launchers. The war has begun and we will spare nobody.”

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh asked why is the BJP not taking action against such leaders? What is the reason for this?

When tensions already prevail in the country due to protests against the CAA, such incendiary statements by BJP leaders are adding fuel to the fire. The situation in the country could worsen if action is not taken against such leaders.
