Relief For Customers Using Non-Subsidised LPG Cyli
The common person, battling inflation, has been offered some relief, with oil companies slashing rates of cooking gas cylinders on Sunday. Oil companies have reduced these rates for non-subsidised LPG cylinders, with a decrease of Rs 53 in Delhi.

This is the first time since September 2019 that oil companies have reduced the prices of non-subsidised LPG cylinders. 


After the reduction, while one 14.2 kg non-subsidised cooking gas cylinder is available for Rs 805.50 in Delhi, in Kolkata it costs Rs 839.50, in Mumbai it costs Rs 776.50 and in Chennai it costs Rs 826. 

Oil companies have also reduced the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by Rs 84.50 and after the reduction, one 19 kg cooking gas cylinder costs Rs 1,381.50 in Delhi, Rs 1,450 in Kolkata, Rs 1,331 in Mumbai and Rs 1,501.50 in Chennai.

Oil companies had been regularly increasing the costs of cylinders every month for the past six months. Last month, in February, oil companies had made the biggest increase - of around Rs 150 - in the cost of non-subsidised cooking gas cylinders. 

In September 2019, oil companies had increased the cost of one 14.2 kg non-subsidised cooking gas cylinder by Rs 15.50. After this increase, one 14.2 kg non-subsidised cylinder was priced at Rs 590. 

Later, in October 2019, this had increased to Rs 605. In November 2019, it cost Rs 681.50, in December 2019 it cost Rs 695, in January 2020 it cost Rs 714 and in February 2020 it cost Rs 858.50.
