Sabarimala: SC Refers Review Petitions To Larger 7-Judge Bench
Following this, violent protests started in Kerala and more than 50 review petitions were filed in the SC. For the time being, the entry of women in the Sabarimala temple will remain in force till the seven-judge bench hears the matter afresh and gives its verdict. Welcoming the SC's move to refer the Sabarimala verdict to a 7-judge Bench, social activist Trupti Desai hopes the judgment should come before the festival so that women can exercise their rights.
Social activist Rahul Easwar says even though there is no clarity in the SC's referral of the case to a larger Bench, there is implicit admission that the earlier verdict should be revisited.Welcoming the SC's move to refer the #SabarimalaVerdict to a 7-judge Bench, social activist Trupti Desai hopes the judgment should come before the festival so that women can exercise their rights#SupremeCourt #SupremeCourtVerdict
